Students in fifth grade receive computer keyboarding once a week for 30 minutes.  The goal in fifth grade keyboarding is the mastery of the alphabetic keys on the keyboard without looking.  Fifth grade students also begin the formatting process by learning how to key short reports.  This formatting process includes centering titles, double spacing, spell-checking, and proofreading.  The importance of accuracy is stressed throughout the learning experience.
